Fans of seeing double will have to wait until the fall to see Side Show "twins" Alice Ripley and Emily Skinner perform at the China Club in New York City.
Due to a scheduling conflict with their musical director, their May 2 encore performance at the club is being postponed to fall. Comic Mario Cantone (Love! Valour! Compassion!) was to have opened the show.
Over the summer, Ripley and Skinner will record "Duets II," the follow-up to their "Duets" concept CD on the Varese Sarabande label.
Ripley, currently playing Fantine in Les Miserables was jointly nominated for a Tony Award in 1998 with Skinner. Other Broadway credits include The Who's Tommy and playing Betty Shaefer in the Broadway company of Sunset Boulevard. Skinner was recently a part of Working at the Long Wharf Theatre, has also performed roles in Jekyll & Hyde and Madison Square Garden's A Christmas Carol.
