News "Rising Star" Contestant and Heathers Actress Alice Lee Joins Peter Gallagher for Fox Comedy Pilot Alice Lee, a contestant on ABC's "Rising Star" who was seen Off-Broadway in Heathers, has been cast in a new single-camera comedy pilot from 20th Century Fox alongside Peter Gallagher.

As previously reported, Gallagher will co-star opposite Olivia Thirlby and Ben Aldridge in the new series, titled "Detour," inspired by the real-life story of Weezer lead singer Rivers Cuomo.

The show will follow the life of charming rock star Michael Sturges, played by Aldridge, who goes back to college at age 30 after quitting his successful music career. Gallagher is set to play the role of his professor.

The pilot for Detour was penned by Steve Franks ("Psych") and will be directed by Jeremy Garelick ("The Wedding Ringer").

"Detour" will be executive-produced by Steve Franks, Chris Henze, Willie Mercer, Rivers Cuomo and Dan Field.
