News Robert Brustein Chats With Oskar Eustis at Feb. 24 Public Theater Event Noted theatre critic Robert Brustein and the Public Theater's new artistic director Oskar Eustis will chat for an audience at a Feb. 24 happening at Eustis' new home.

The 7 PM event, in which the two men will discuss Brustein's new book "Letters to a Young Actor," will take place in the Shiva Theater. The title is evidently a play of Ranier Maria Rilke's famed epistolary book "Letters to a Young Poet." Aside from producing a string of books of theatrical criticism and theory (he is the theatre critic for the New Republic), Brustein was for many years the artistic director of the American Repertory Theatre in Boston. He has also directed many plays and written or adapted 14 works for the stage. He was taught such actors as Meryl Streep, Marisa Tomei, Cherry Jones, Debra Winger, Sigourney Weaver, Christopher Walken, Tony Shalhoub, Henry Winkler, Christopher Lloyd and Claire Bloom.
