News Robert Cuccioli, Tovah Feldshuh, Sally Mayes Set for Sheldon Harnick Tribute The Workshop Theater will celebrate the co-creator of Fiddler on the Roof later this month.

The Workshop Theater Company will honor Sheldon Harnick, currently represented on Broadway with the Tony-nominated revival of Fiddler on the Roof, with the Jewel Box Award at the 3rd annual unGala October 17 at 7 PM at The Lindeman, 508 W. 42nd Street.

Harnick will be celebrated with The Sheldon Show, which will feature performances of Harnick songs by Robert Cuccioli, Tovah Feldshuh, Sally Mayes and Michael McCormick. Theatre writer and critic Peter Filichia will also interview the lyricist and librettist.

Sheldon Harnick, the 2016 recipient of the Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement, the Drama League Award for Distinguished Achievement in Musical Theatre and a Special Lifetime Achievement Award from The Outer Critics Circle, is the co-creator of Fiorello!, She Loves Me, Fiddler on the Roof, The Apple Tree, The Rothschilds and more.

The Workshop Theater, now 24 years old, is devoted “to the rigorous development and production of new American plays and musicals that transport, challenge and surprise both artists and audiences.”

The evening will also feature live music by the Greg Bufford Jazz Quartet, supper and an open bar. Tickets to the unGala are $200 and can be purchased from the WorkShop Theater website, www.workshoptheater.org . For more information call (212) 695-4173.
