On stage, the actor may be remembered for his performance as Estragon to Steve Martin's Vladimir in the Mike Nichols-directed production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. The limited engagement at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater also featured F. Murray Abraham as Pozzo and Bill Irwin as Lucky.
The "Live On Broadway" DVD features the HBO televised special with exclusive bonus material. The CD contains completely different performances than appear on the DVD or VHS. The HBO special was directed by Marty Callner — who also helmed the live taping of John Leguizamo's Sexaholix...a love story.
