For those who missed the live show and the HBO airings, Columbia Records is now releasing Robin Williams' "Live on Broadway" on DVD as well as a 2-CD album of his 2002 sold-out tour which led up to the live performance at the Broadway Theatre, last July 14. The "Live 2002" CD and the "Live On Broadway" DVD or VHS will be available on Nov. 19. The actor-writer-comedian, who became known during his turn in "Mork & Mindy" — a spinoff created from a guest spot on "Happy Days" — is widely hailed for his madcap improvisational humor in movies such as "Good Morning, Vietnam," "Aladdin," "The Birdcage," "Mrs. Doubtfire" and, most recently, "Death to Smoochy." Williams has often taken on dramatic roles as well, typically of a maudlin cast, in such films as "The Fisher King," "Awakenings," "Insomnia" and his Academy Award-winning turn in "Good Will Hunting."

On stage, the actor may be remembered for his performance as Estragon to Steve Martin's Vladimir in the Mike Nichols-directed production of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot. The limited engagement at Lincoln Center Theater's Mitzi E. Newhouse Theater also featured F. Murray Abraham as Pozzo and Bill Irwin as Lucky.

The "Live On Broadway" DVD features the HBO televised special with exclusive bonus material. The CD contains completely different performances than appear on the DVD or VHS. The HBO special was directed by Marty Callner — who also helmed the live taping of John Leguizamo's Sexaholix...a love story. The show, which boasts a "Parental Advisory: Explicit Content" warning, spans approximately 126 minutes, including such chapter titles as "Not Your Normal Night At The Theater," "Party Like It`s 1955," "Cats And Drag Queens," Fundamentalists, Psychopaths, Infidels, Virgins, Raisins, The Continental Congress," "Episcopals, Puritans, And The Word," "Wasps And Their Last Domain," "F**k It All," and "Harder Than Chinese Algebra."
