News Rock of Ages Co-Stars Maroulis and Spanger Join Line-Up for 5th Annual Broadway Purim Shpiel Constantine Maroulis and Amy Spanger, who will star in the new Broadway musical Rock of Ages, are the latest additions to the upcoming benefit evening, 5th Annual Broadway Purim Shpiel.

Xanadu's Jackie Hoffman will host the one-night-only event, which will be held March 9 at the Hudson Theatre in Manhattan.

Presented by The National Entertainment Fund for the Cultural Arts (NEFCA) and event co-chair Michael Steinhardt, the evening will benefit Taglit-Birthright Israel, an organization dedicated to sending young Jews from across the world to Israel.

The performance, a "hilarious retelling of the Purim story," will also boast the talents of the previously announced Jordan Gelber, Mary Faber, Marc Kudisch, Logan Lipton, Jared Gertner, Noah Weisberg, Carly Jibson, Alli Mauzey and Stanley Bahorek.

In a statement NEFCA founder and executive director Scott Kluge said, "I'm inspired every time I announce that we are about to celebrate our 5th Anniversary of the Broadway Purim Shpiel. Once again, Broadway's brightest stars will be performing exclusively for our audience. . . . In such a challenging climate, I thought it was more important than ever to make sure the show goes on. I wanted the community to know that no matter what's transpiring in our lives, there is always time to give back."

The Hudson Theatre is located at 141 West 44th Street in New York City. The event begins at 7 PM with complimentary cocktails with the Shpiel at 8 PM. For more information or to purchase tickets, visit www.nefca.org/5thbroadwaypurimshpiel.
