Hosted by Harvey Evans, with Field's former assistants Marianne Selbert and Lawrence Merritt, the evening will feature Marge Champion, Joel Grey, Ben Vereen, Donna McKechnie, Sandy Duncan and Don Correia, as well as additional guests.
The evening will honor Field's work with performances, panels and stories, as well as video clips from his shows. The event will be videotaped and donated to the Jerome Robbins Dance Collection at Lincoln Center's Library for the Performing Arts.
Field worked on the Broadway shows Cabaret, Applause!, Zorba! and King Of Hearts as well as television specials with Vereen, Liza Minnelli, Mikhail Baryshnikov and Cheryl Ladd. He choreographed the movie "New York, New York" and the 1984 Summer Olympics in Los Angeles.
Field died in 1989 at the age of 55.
