The comedy serves as Larsen's first family-friendly play after a prolific career writing X-rated queer comedies.

Ronnie Larsen's The Actors makes its NYC premiere Off-Broadway at Theatre Row beginning April 27. The LGBTQ Performing Arts Company of South Florida presents the engagement, which will continue through June 1st. An official opening night is slated for May 8. Stuart Meltzer directs.

The Actors follows one lonely man, grief-stricken by the death of his parents, who hires actors to come to his apartment a few times a week to play his family. But what happens when the lines between theatre and reality begin to blur—and the actors overstay their welcome?

The family-friendly comedy serves as a departure from Larsen's previous plays, which are described as "X-rated" gay works.

The cast includes Jason Guy, Jeni Hacker, Ronnie Larsen, Allen Lewis Rickman, and Gabriell Salgado.

The production features set and sound design by Stuart Meltzer, lighting design by Leonardo Urbina, costume design by Laura Turnbull, and casting by Robin Carus.
