Off-Broadway News Roundabout Theatre's Jonah Opens Off-Broadway February 1

The world premiere of Jonah by Rachel Bonds officially opens February 1 at the Laura Pels Theatre in the Harold and Miriam Steinberg Center for Theatre after beginning previews January 11. The limited engagement will continue through March 10.

The coming-of-age play follows two students at a boarding school—Ana, whose dreams seem to be coming true when she meets Jonah, who may not be everything he seems. The cast includes Tony nominee Gabby Beans as Ana, Hagan Oliveras as Jonah, Samuel Henry Levine as Danny, and John Zdrojeski as Steven. Danya Taymor directs.

Jonah features a set design by Wilson Chin, costume design by Kaye Voyce, lighting design by Amith Chandrashaker, sound design by Kate Marvin, and hair and wig design by Tommy Kurzman. Illusions are by Morgan Auld and movement by Tilly Evans-Krueger. Gigi Buffington serves as the voice and text coach and Ann James as the intimacy director.
