News Rowat Steps Into The Thing About Men Oct. 23-27 While Kudisch Preps for Rorem Gig Graham Rowat steps into the role of the philandering and jealous husband, Tom, in the Off-Broadway musical The Thing About Men, Oct. 23-27, while star Marc Kudisch prepares for an upcoming Ned Rorem concert.

The new musical comedy based on the film "Men" concerns a workaholic, cheating husband who discovers his wife (played by Leah Hocking) is having an affair. Irrationally, when he leaves the house he decides to seek out her lover (played by Ron Bohmer) as his new roommate. A unique trio emerges in the musical by the creators of I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change — composer Jimmy Roberts and lyricist librettist Joe DiPietro.

Mark Clements directs a company that also includes Danny Gurwin and Jennifer Simard in multiple (and audience-favorite) roles. Rob Ashford choreographs.

Rowat is an Ontario native who appeared in the Broadway and Toronto companies of Beauty and the Beast (as Gaston and the Beast), the national tour of Les Misérables, at Ford's Theater as Richard Henry Lee in 1776 and Canada's Shaw Festival. Find him at www.GrahamRowat.com.

* Tony Award nominee Kudisch (Thoroughly Modern Millie) and Lisa Vroman (The Phantom of the Opera) will sing an Oct. 27 concert at Merkin Hall celebrating the 80th birthday of composer Ned Rorem. Magic Circle Opera Repertory Ensemble presents singers performing works by Rorem that span his entire career.
