The cast will comprise Nathan Balser (9 to 5), Kathy Deitch (Wicked) and co-authors Patrick Livingston and Katie Thompson.

Based on a true study, R.R.R.E.D. features music and lyrics by Katie Thompson and a book by Adam Jackman, Patrick Livingston and Katie Thompson. Andy Sandberg directs with musical supervision by Charlie Alterman.

"The Oxford Hair Foundation predicts that, due to globalization & population intermixing, the recessive gene which causes red hair will cease to exist by the year 2100," according to press notes. "Now, in the year 2009, a secret red-headed revolutionary organization is taking matters into its own hands, fighting back against their pending extinction & standing up for the rights of red-heads everywhere."
