Chicago, currently running at the Cambridge Theatre, will shutter there Aug. 27, but its producers are planning to move the production, now in its 14th year, to another theatre, according to the show's UK press representative.

Matilda The Musical, based on Roald Dahl's story about a young girl with extraordinary powers that was first published in 1988, is written by Dennis Kelly, with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin. It is directed by Matthew Warchus, with designs by Rob Howell, choreography by Peter Darling, musical supervision and orchestration by Christopher Nightingale, lighting by Hugh Vanstone, sound by Simon Baker and special effects and illusions by Paul Kieve. The entire creative team will reassemble to create the London production.

Many adult cast members from the original production will reprise their roles at the Cambridge Theatre, led by Bertie Carvel as Miss Trunchbull, Paul Kaye as Mr. Wormwood, Josie Walker as Mrs. Wormwood and Lauren Ward as Miss Honey. The cast will also include Marc Antolin, Verity Bentham, Michael Kent, Melanie La Barrie, Matthew Malthouse, Alastair Parker, Nick Searle and Emily Shaw. Further casting will be announced soon. The casting process is currently underway to find the four young actresses who will play the role of Matilda, and three teams of nine young performers who will re-create the roles of Bruce, Lavender, Amanda, Nigel, Eric and the other pupils at Crunchem Hall Primary School.

Matilda The Musical is produced in the West End by the Royal Shakespeare Company with André Ptaszynski as executive producer. The production was developed with the support of the RSC's dramaturg Jeanie O'Hare and the RSC Literary Department.

Priority booking for RSC members opens May 20, with general booking from May 21. To book tickets, which are initially on sale through Feb. 12, contact the box office on 0844 412 4652, or visit www.matildathemusical.com.
