RSVP Broadway, a new musical, opens at the Winter Garden Theatre, 189 Yonge St. Toronto March 5. Previews begin Feb 22.

Directed and choreographed by Patricia (Candide) Birch, RSVP Broadway is from a book by Barbara D'Amato, with music by Tony D'Amato and lyrics by Tony & Barbara D'Amato.

Two worlds collide when a rum running New York gangster and his ultra-sophisticated wife, a handsome Scotland Yard agent, a butler with a secret, and a sweet young dancer from Brooklyn come together in an art deco penthouse over the Great White Way.

The original score for RSVP Broadway evokes the elegance and sophistication of Cole Porter, George Gershwin and Jerome Kern. Musical direction is by Rick Fox, set design is by Phillip Silver with costumes by Charlotte Dean. Lighting design is by John Munro and sound design is by John Lott. RSVP Broadway is a co-production with Leo K. Cohen as producer, and Follows-Latimer as co-producers.

The show stars Dirk Lumbard as Noel Starr, Jean Louisa Kelly as Betty Bounce. MIchael Fletcher as T. Terrance Terrance, Kate Hennig as Melissa Fitzhugh Rubenstein, Joey Hollingsworth as Smythe, Paul McQuillan as Dennis Depew Steele, Deborah Odell as Kathleen O'Hoolihan and Ed Sahely as Burns Rubenstein.
