Celebrity Autobiography – which began New York performances Jan. 28 – extended its run through March 24 and announced encore performances for May 5 and 12 at the Triad.
Created by Eugene Pack, the evenings feature a cast of performers reading from the autobiographies and memoirs of the famous and infamous. Performing on May 5 will be Richard Kind (Candide, The Producers), Kristen Johnston (The Women, "3rd Rock"), Sherri Shepherd ("The View"), "SNL" alumni Rachel Dratch, Will Forte, Jason Sudeikis and Kristen Wiig, as well as Dayle Reyfel and the show's creator, Pack.
Scheduled for the May 12 final performance are Susie Essman ("Curb Your Enthusiasm), comedienne Judy Gold, Seth Rudetsky ("Seth's Broadway Chatterbox") as well as Kind, Shepherd, Dratch, Reyfel and Pack. Producers also state that last-minute guest celebrities will be added for the performances.
Among the celebrities whose personal stories are presented in the evenings are Elizabeth Taylor, Mr T, Tommy Lee, Sylvester Stallone, Ivana Trump, Vanna White, Star Jones, Kenny Loggins, Burt Reynolds, Loni Anderson, Eddie Fisher and Debbie Reynolds. The cast and what autobiographies are presented rotate on a weekly basis.
