News Salgado to Depart In the Heights; Capeman and Nervous Breakdown On the Horizon Latin assistant choreographer and ensemble member Luis Salgado will play his final performance in the Tony-winning In the Heights July 25 at the Richard Rodgers Theatre.

In addition to playing the role of José on Broadway, Salgado has also worked as a coach for both the national tour and Broadway productions of In the Heights. He also founded the non-profit organization R.Evolución Latina.

Upcoming projects for Salgado, according to a press statement, include "The Capeman, which performs at The Delacorte August 14th-16th, and Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown which will play the Belasco Theatre this October."

Salgado has choreographed the musicals I'll Be Damned, Serenade (HOLA Award), Shafrika the White Girl, and Salsa Gorda.

With a book by Quiara Alegría Hudes and conceived by composer-lyricist Lin-Manuel Miranda, In the Heights is directed by Thomas Kail with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler.
