Sam Bolen is set to star in the Off-Broadway premiere of Midnight at The Never Get, the new musical he co-conceived with book writer and composer Mark Sonnenblick.

As previously reported, the musical will launch the York Theatre Company's 2018–2019 season, with performances beginning October 2 prior to an official opening October 11. Performances are scheduled through November 4 at Saint Peter's.

Bolen, who also performed in the show last year in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and the 2016 New York Musical Festival, will be joined by Jeremy Cohen and Jon J. Peterson.

Directed by Max Friedman and choreographed by Andrew Palermo, the new musical tells the story of singer Trevor Copeland and songwriter Arthur Brightman, who have the perfect New York romance, though illegal in 1965. In the back room of an illegal Greenwich Village gay bar, they put together a nightclub act where Trevor sings Arthur’s love songs with their male pronouns intact.

The York season also includes the new musical Christmas in Hell and a celebration of Alan Jay Lerner through the Musicals in Mufti series.
