Cabaret & Concert News Samantha Pauly, Tally Sessions, More to Star in The Reading Series: in Concert

All proceeds for the event, set for The Green Room 42, will be donated to The Actors Fund.

The Reading Series, a theatre group that has presented virtual readings for the benefit of Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and The Actors Fund throughout the pandemic, has announced their first live and in-person cabaret benefit. The Reading Series: In Concert will be held at The Green Room 42 February 6th at 9:30 PM. Proceeds of both in-person and virtual tickets will be donated to The Actors Fund.

The one-night-only concert will feature Samantha Pauly (Six), Tally Sessions (Company), Janine DiVita (Jagged Little Pill), Andrew Kober (Hair), Christine Dwyer (Wicked), and Nick Gaswirth (Natasha Pierre and the Great Comet of 1812).

The evening will be co-directed by Alison Tanney and Erin S. Leddy, with musical director Emily Cohn and Liam McGeary on drums. Ms. Tanney will also act as Emcee for the evening.

The Reading Series was created by Tanney, Kerrie Bond, Leddy, and Tim Realbuto in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since its inception, the group has produced 12 virtual readings of published plays and new works, giving performers an opportunity to continue to share their art during the shutdown while raising money for The Actors Fund and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS.

In addition to in-person tickets, $19 virtual tickets are being made available to anyone who is experiencing symptoms, has tested positive, or doesn't feel comfortable attending an in-person concert at this time.

Tickets can be purchased at TheGreenRoom42.com. Use code READING10 for $10 off all in-person and virtual tickets. The Green Room 42 is located at 570 Tenth Avenue inside YOTEL in New York City.
