News Sams, Lyon and Rylie Are Sisters of Crimes of the Heart at South Coast Rep The Tony Award-winning South Coast Repertory in Costa Mesa, CA, announced casting for its May 7-June 6 revival of Beth Henley's Crimes of the Heart, the story of three Mississippi sisters.

Warner Shook will direct a cast that includes Blair Sams, Jennifer Lyon and Kate Rylie as Lenny, Meg and Babe, respectively. Rounding out the cast are Tessa Auberjonois as Chick Boyle, Nathan Baesel as Doc Porter and Kasey Mahaffy as Barnette Lloyd. In the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, according to SCR, "Life isn't easy for the Magrath sisters. Lenny's horse is dead, Meg's singing career is dead and Babe's husband is near-dead (because she shot him!). But nothing — not meddling cousins, nor past and present lovers, nor a touch of mental illness — can keep these women down."

The Crimes of the Heart creative team includes Thomas Buderwitz (set design), Angela Balogh Calin (costume design), Peter Maradudin (lighting design), Jim Ragland (sound design), Jamie A. Tucker (stage manager) and Chrissy Church (assistant stage manager).
