The Girl Who Said Yes to the Guy in the Brown Subaru, a new romantic comedy by Margaret Elman, opens March 17 at Theatre Row's Samuel Beckett Theatre. The play, which runs through March 27, started previews March 10.

The Girl Who Said Yes centers on a couple who stop at a hip California hotel with opposite plans that turn out not to be so different after all. A former advertiser, Elman had her first play, Sex in Advertising produced at NY's Miranda Theatre in November 1998. Other plays include Hello?! and Mr. Right Now.

Laura Josepher directs Marsha Dietlien (The Food Chain) and Paul Reggio ("Cosby," "Spin City") with Nancy Deering, Mark Flesher, David Green, John Mattey, Kate Weinman, Teresa Yenque and Annie Kozuch.

Beowolf Boritt designed the sets, with Chad McArver providing the lighting.
