First Love introduces two septuagernarians Harold and Edith on a park bench. What happens next plunges them into a whirlwind of love, jealous and sex. Mee penned a trio of plays about love: Big Love, First Love and True Love. In 1999, the playwright developed Summertime with the Magic and plans to create a companion piece, Wintertime, there later in 2002.

Robert Parnell and Joan Mankin stars as the lovers. A two-time Dramalogue winner, Parnell's San Francisco credits include You Can't Take It With You, Best Little Whorehouse in Texas and Other People's Money. A former Pickle Family Circus clown and mime, Mankin is now an actress and director, whose credits as helmer include the Magic's Hillary and Soon-Yi Shop For Ties.

Tickets are $22-$37. The Magic Theatre is located in Building D at the Fort Mason Center on Marina Boulevard. For reservations, (415) 441-8822. The Magic Theatre is on line at http://www.magictheatre.org.
