Classic Arts News San Francisco Symphony's Season-Opening Gala to Feature Yo-Yo Ma San Francisco Symphony will mark the opening of its season and the 25th anniversary of the opening of Davies Symphony Hall with a gala event on September 7, the orchestra announced.
The gala will feature Shostakovich's Cello Concerto, with Yo-Yo Ma as soloist; Rimsky-Korakov's Cappriccio espagnol; and Tchaikovsky's Marche slave.

The concert will be preceded by three separate receptions for patrons and is followed by two parties.

Tickets for the entire evening range in price from $325 to $1,600; call (425) 503-5500 for more information. Tickets for the concert are $125 to $240.
