News San Jose Rep Season Will Include World Premiere of Robert Schenkkan and Neil Berg's THE 12 The world premiere of THE 12, written by Pulitzer Prize winner Robert Schenkkan — whose All the Way will open on Broadway March 6 — and award-winning composer Neil Berg, is among San Jose Repertory Theatre's 2014-15 season.

The Broadway-aimed THE 12 will kick off the San Jose Rep season Aug. 28-Sept. 21.

Directed by Richard Seyd, the musical, according to press notes, "tackles one of the most powerful stories in history with terrifying honesty, grit and extraordinary, heart-pounding music."

The 2014-15 season will also include A Weekend with Pablo Picasso, directed by Todd Salovey (Oct. 16-Nov. 9); A Christmas Carol, staged by producing artistic director Rick Lombardo (Nov. 26-Dec. 24); the world premiere of associate artistic director Kirsten Brandt's adaptation of Wuthering Heights (Jan. 22-Feb. 15, 2015); The Importance of Being Earnest (March 26-April 19, 2015); and Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris, directed by Lombardo with musical direction by Dolores Duran-Cefalu (July 2-July 26, 2015).

The sixth slot following The Importance of Being Earnest will be announced at a later date.
