TVT Records releases comedian Sandra Bernhard's I'm Still Here...Damn It!'s original cast recording Nov. 24.

The CD, produced by Eve Nelson and Mitch Kaplan, will have 19 tracks of comedy and music including "Walk Tall," "Difficult Times," "On the Runway," "Telephones," "Too Many Magazines," "Courtney Love," "The Beautiful Women in Hollywood," "Peanuts," "Lillith Fair," "Nightingale," "Designer Culture," "Romance & Drugs," "Mama's Getting Hot," "Jazzy Spider," "Fabulous Trip to Morocco/God is Good," "Sandy's Taxi," Hermino is My House Painter," "That's My L.A." "Midnight Train to Georgia" and "On the Runway" (Remix).

(The performance preserved will not be from the Broadway engagement but from the show's Off-Broadway run at the Westbeth Theatre Center. TVT spokesperson Lizbeth Cassaday also pointed out (Oct. 27) that the CD is not taken from the same performance as a Bernhard special broadcast on HBO cable television.)

I'm Still Here...Damn It!, which began previews at Broadway's Booth Theatre Oct. 22 and officially opened Nov. 5, has been extended until Feb. 28, 1999. It was to have run until Dec. 31.

Marty Callner, who staged comedian Jerry Seinfeld's Broadway concert I'm Telling You for the Last Time this past summer, returns to the Great White Way to direct I'm Still Here...Damn It!, according to Callner rep Gail Parenteau. Callner is quite familiar with the Bernhard show; he directed and produced the HBO version of I'm Still Here, which aired in July. Callner's other television credits include specials for Bette Midler, Madonna, Paul Simon, Steve Martin and Billy Crystal, as well as the Garth Brooks concert in Central Park.

I'm Still Here, which Bernhard calls, "a funky, juicy, raw taste of life in the 90's," opened Off-Broadway at NYC's Westbeth Theatre Center Nov. 11, 1997, (originally titled Standing on My Own) and extended twice, closing Feb. 14, 1998. The solo has since been produced in Boston and San Francisco, where it was taped for HBO. The production includes her commentary on the hip and famous, fashion, rock and religion, punctuated by songs, some classic, some original.

Bernhard is joined on stage by musical director Mitch Kaplan. According to the Publicity Office, Bernhard told the press the Broadway transfer includes 30 to 40 percent new material, both from the Off Broadway production and from the TV special.

Her 1988 Off-Broadway Without You I'm Nothing was a hit at the Orpheum Theatre. That production was made into a film, and the CD version got a Grammy nomination as Best Comedy Record. Other Bernhard films have included King of Comedy, Hudson Hawk, Track 29, Lover Girl and the upcoming Wrongfully Accused. She's written three books: "Confessions of a Pretty Lady," "Love, Love and Love," and the forthcoming "May I Kiss You on the Lips, Miss Sandra."

I'm Still Here...Damn It! is produced by Delsener/Slater Enterprises, Contemporary Productions and Arielle Tepper.
