The Santaland Diaries will close Off-Broadway Dec. 29 after six previews and 66 regular performances. Featuring Timothy Olyphant as a dissatisfied department store Elf, the one-act comedy opened Nov. 8 at the Atlantic Theatre in New York. The production had been scheduled to run through Jan. 5.
Director Joe (Love! Valour! Compassion!) Mantello adapted the play himself from a chapter in "Barrel Fever," a bestselling collection of stories by comedic novelist David Sedaris.
