News Santaland Diaries Gets OB in Holiday Spirit Karen Valentine, from TV's "Room 222" and Off-Broadway's Breaking Legs, will co-star with Timothy Olyphant, recipient of a Theatre World Award last season for Outstanding Debut Performance in The Monogamist, in The Santaland Diaries, a pair of one-act comedies, opens Nov. 8 at the Atlantic Theatre (336 West 20th St., New York).

Karen Valentine, from TV's "Room 222" and Off-Broadway's Breaking Legs, will co-star with Timothy Olyphant, recipient of a Theatre World Award last season for Outstanding Debut Performance in The Monogamist, in The Santaland Diaries, a pair of one-act comedies, opens Nov. 8 at the Atlantic Theatre (336 West 20th St., New York).

This seasonal offering, which will run through Jan. 5, is being produced by that Full Gallop duo, David Stone and Amy Nederlander-Case. Director Joe (Love! Valour! Compassion!) Mantello adapted the plays himself from "Barrel Fever," a bestselling collection of stories by comedic novelist David Sedaris.

Designer Isaac Mizrahi will create the costumes, and artist Ian Falconer will design the sets, with sound by David Van Tiechem and lights by Jan Kroeze.

In Season's Greetings to Our Friends and Family!!!, Valentine plays a woman who discovers on her doorstep one day a young Vietnamese women claiming to be her husband's illegitimate daughter. In the other half of the evening, The Santaland Diaries, Olyphant plays "Crumpet," a Christmas elf at Macy's department store.
