Artistic director Mark Clements helms the dark musical that won the 2004 Tony Award for Best Revival of a Musical. It has a score by Sondheim and a book by Weidman. The production officially opens Sept. 7 for a run through Oct. 7.

Litzsinger (Beauty and the Beast, Next to Normal) portrays Lynette “Squeaky” Fromme, with O'Connor (Mack and Mabel, Chicago) as Sara Jane Moore, Peluso as the Balladeer/Lee Harvey Oswald and Adam Monley as John Wilkes Booth.

The cast also includes Jonathan Gillard Daly as the Proprietor, Lee E. Ernst as Samuel Byck, Steve French as Leon Czolgosz, Evan Harrington as John Hinkley, Melissa Joy Hart as Emma Goldman, Mark Price as Charles Guiteau, Brian Sills as Giuseppe Zangara and Luke Brotherhood as Billy.

Completing the cast are John Altman, Kelley Faulkner, Ray Jivoff, Alex Keiper, JR Yanker, Emily Berman, Lamar Jefferson, Toni Linn Martin, Jessi Noel, Tyrone Phillips, Jess Prichard, Jamie Rezanour, Teddy Spencer, Bri Sudia, Trequon Tate and Mercedes White.

According to Milwaukee Rep, "Assassins investigates the personalities behind nine Presidential assassins and reveals uneasy truths about the American Dream."

Assassins has musical direction by Dan Kazemi and musical staging by Michael Pink, scenic/video projection design by Todd Edward Ivins, costume design by Alex Tecoma, lighting design by Jeff Nellis and sound design by Jon Weston.
