Couldn't get to see Savion Glover and his troupe, Not Your Ordinary Tappers, in New York before the July 4th weekend? No problem -- Savion Glover/Downtown has just been extended three more weeks to July 25, at the Variety Arts Theatre on Third Ave.
Downtown continues Glover's ascendancy as the country's premier modern tapper, with this show apparently even funkier and more rap oriented than Glover's Bring In `Da Noise, Bring In `Da Funk, which continues without him at Broadway's Ambassador Theatre.
Produced by Dodger Endemol and Maniactin Productions, Savion Glover/Downtown features the NYOT dancers, the Incognegroes band, and occasionally such special guests as Gregory Hines and Yvette Glover.
