News Savion Glover to Perform Sole Sanctuary at Washington, DC's Warner Theatre Tony Award winner Savion Glover will bring his evening of dance and music SoLe SANCTUARY: A hoofer’s meditation on the art of tap to Washington, DC's Warner Theatre March 30-31.

Glover previously presented the piece at the Joyce Theatre in June 2011. Joined by Marshall Davis, Jr., Glover will pay tribute to "great tap dancers of the 20th century," including the late of Gregory Hines, with whom he appeared in the movie "Tap." SoLe SANCTUARY also incorporates "a shrine, a living Buddha in meditation and oversized posters of departed tap legends."

Glover made his Broadway debut in The Tap Dance Kid. He received a Tony Award for Best Choreography for Bring in 'Da Noise, Bring in 'Da Funk, which also brought him a Tony nomination for Best Actor in a Musical. Glover's other Broadway credits include Black and Blue (Tony nomination) and Jelly's Last Jam. His film credits include "Tap" and Spike Lee's "Bamboozled." He also served as tap choreographer for the animated film "Happy Feet."
