News Scenedowntown's 365 Plays Presentation to Include Open Audition Scenedowntown's presentation of week seven of Suzan-Lori Parks' 365 Days/365 Plays project will include open tryouts Dec. 28 at the Unisex Salon at The Delancey, where actors can audition to act in the seven short plays on Dec. 30, according to the company's website.

The actors chosen will have two days to be integrated into a cast that includes Penny Arcade, Helen Stratford, Cintra Wilson, Mike Albo, Taylor Mac, John Moran and Saori, and Murray Hill. Arcade directs the performance.

The plays will be performed Dec. 30 in an undisclosed location. Those who wish to watch the performance must register at www.scenedowntown.com to receive an email or text message with instructions on attending.

The Delancey — where the auditions take place on Dec. 28, with sign-up beginning at 10 PM — is in Manhattan at 168 Delancey Street between Clinton and Attorney. See the company's website for more information.

Parks, a Pulitzer Prize winner for Topdog/Underdog, wrote one play a day for 365 days beginning in November 2002. Each week, a different New York company takes a turn presenting a week's worth of plays.
