Re-live those great Saturday morning cartoons in this original, rockin' revue!" reads the blurb for Schoolhouse Rock Live! a Chicago and Off-Broadway hit based on the educational cartoons shown on ABC-TV between weekend programs in the 1970s.

TheatreMania productions will stage Schoolhouse Oct 4, 5, 11, 12, 18 and 19 at the Milford Academy in Milford, CT.

TheatreBAM originated the piece in Chicago and then brought it to Off Broadway's Atlantic and Lamb's Theatres in a co-production with Move On.

Songs such as "Just A Bill," "Figure 8" and "Conjunction Junction" helped teach children about politics, math and grammar. Among the many writers for the project were Dave Frishberg, Lynn Ahrens, George Newall and Tom Yohe (the latter two created the TV series, based on an idea by David McCall).

The stage production is directed by Michael Colavolpe, with choreography by Sean Maher. Performers at the Milford engagement are Kevin Bee, Michael Colavolpe, Vanessa David, Sean Maher, Katherine Ray and Kim Ryan. For tickets and information, call (203) 387-7692.
