News Scott Alan to Play London; New CD in the Works Composer-lyricist Scott Alan will return to London's West End for a March 13 concert in the Prince of Wales Theatre's Delfont Room.

The 11 PM performance will feature Alan at the piano performing tunes from his two CDs, "Dreaming Wide Awake" and "Keys." The composer will also debut songs from his forthcoming disc, "What I Wanna Be When I Grow Up." Alan is currently in the studio recording tunes for the latter with a mix of Broadway and West End performers. In London Alan will also be joined on stage by two surprise West End talents. Doors will open at 10:30 PM for the one-night-only event.

Scott Alan wrote the book, music and lyrics for the musical Detour, which was seen in Los Angeles. His current theatre projects include Piece, which was featured at the 2003 Palo Alto TheatreWorks festival, the 2005 NAMT festival and the 2007 Festival of New Musicals at Village Theatre; and the song cycle The Warmth of the Womb. He also produces the monthly Monday Nights, New Voices concert at the Duplex. Alan's music is available on his website, scottalan.net, and at iTunes.
