News Scott, Essandoh, Jones and Byrd Will Join Dutton for Yale Rep's Death of a Salesman Complete casting has been announced for the Yale Repertory Theatre staging of Death of a Salesman starring Tony nominee Charles S. Dutton.

James Bundy will direct Dutton (The Piano Lesson, Ma Rainey's Black Bottom) as Willy Loman in Arthur Miller's Tony and Pulitzer Prize-winning drama, which begins performances April 24 and continues through May 23. Opening night is April 30.

The cast of Death of a Salesman will also feature Tony Award nominee Kimberly Scott (Joe Turner's Come and Gone) as Linda Loman, Ato Essandoh ("Blood Diamond," "Nights in Rodanthe") as Biff, Billy Eugene Jones (Passing Strange, Radio Golf) as Happy and Tony Award nominee Thomas Jefferson Byrd (Ma Rainey's Black Bottom) as Ben.

Completing the company are Christina Maria Acosta as Miss Forsythe, Starla Benford as the Woman, La Tonya Borsay as Jenny, Austin Durant as Bernard, Mark Sage Hamilton as the Waiter, Stephen McKinley Henderson as Charley, Stanley Wayne Mathis as Stanley, Howard Overshown as Howard and Tijuana Ricks as Letta.

"For Willy Loman, there is only one dream: the American Dream. After 36 years on the road in its pursuit, the traveling salesman, haunted by missed opportunities and an uncertain future, must come to terms with a lifetime of self-deception that has distorted his dream into an American tragedy," read press notes for Salesman.

Death of a Salesman has a creative team comprising composer Dwight Andrews, scenic designer Scott Dougan, costume designer Katherine O'Neill, lighting designer Stephen Strawbridge, sound designer Sarah Pickett and fight director Rick Sordelet.
