Add Scott Glenn's name to the rotating list of guest-stars who will perform the 20-minute monologue, Killer's Head, in the middle of an evening of three one-act Sam Shepard plays being presented by Signature Theatre Company at The Public's Susan Stein Shiva Theatre. Performances began Jan. 28.

Glenn, who followed Shepard into space in The Right Stuff, will rotate the role with Bill Pullman, Stephen Lang, Jamie Sheridan and Treat Williams. Because the availability of these actors fluctuates, Signature's artistic director James Houghton decided not to nail down when any will be doing it.

The part is that of a convicted killer who is strapped in an electric chair, talking about buying a new truck during his final 20 minutes on this planet.

"The Sad Lament of Pecos Bill on the Eve of Killing His Wife" and "Action" are the other two offerings on the bill, which will be running through March 9.
