From the wacky to the spectacular, take a look at some of the costumes these Broadway favorites donned for Halloween.

Stars, they’re just like us! You might think that since Broadway actors don costumes several times a week for their jobs, they’d be less likely to get dressed up recreationally for Halloween. Well, Instagram and Twitter tell a different story. 

Broadway performers took to social media to show off their All Hallows Eve disguises, with some fun nods to favorite television shows, movies, games, and singers. A couple of kids even get super-meta with their theatre-inspired costumes.  Take a look at some of those delightful (and frightful) creations below.


Stephanie Styles and fiancé dressed as Broadway's longest running ghost and Angel of Music.


Lin-Manuel Miranda as El Chapulín Colorado (The Red Grasshopper) from the 1970s Mexican superhero comedy.


MJ The Musical's Tavon Olds-Sample enjoyed a "Thriller" evening at the Michael Jackson estate with cast mate and Tony winner Myles Frost.
