Classic Arts News Seattle Opera Holds Costume Sale October 22 The Seattle Opera will put thousands of costumes and props on sale on Saturday, October 22.
The items, culled from the company's 45,000 cubic feet of costume archives, are from older productions that are no longer in use. The sale is Seattle Opera's first in 20 years.

"There's a little bit of everything," said costume rental coordinator Ieva Ohaks. "An old Rigoletto, some old Magic Flute, some War and Peace, and assorted happy peasant costumes, bits of armor, and masks."

Prices range from $1 to $200, with most items costing $20 to $30. Payment may be made with cash or checks, but not with credit cards.

The sale takes place at 200 Terry Avenue North from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 206-676-5803.
