The season at the Center House Theatre at Seattle Center will launch with a holiday-themed production of Twelfth Night, running Dec. 3-27 under the direction of Stephanie Shine. Following last season's Henry IV, Seattle Shakespeare Company will continue the tale of Prince Hal in the Russ Banham staging of Henry V, which plays Jan. 7-31, 2010.
John Langs will stage Hamlet, running March 18-April 11, 2010; a production of Two Gentleman of Verona will arrive April 15-May 9, 2010.
A workshop of I Always Write of You, an eclectic cabaret featuring the music of David Duvall, is planned for the fall 2009 bill. Inspired by Shakespeare's sonnets, the workshop will culminate in free public performances.
The Seattle Shakespeare Company will offer its own touring production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. George Mount will direct the 90-minute adaptation, which utilizes seven actors and puppets. Also planned is a reprise tour of Mount's five-actor Romeo and Juliet.
