Maripat Donovan's satirical Late Night Catechism, comes to Seattle Feb. 19 with the author recreating her acclaimed role as Sister, for a two month booking sponsored by Cloud 9 Productions (in association with Seattle Theatre Project).
Donovan and co-author Vicki Quade's comic play premiered at Chicago's Live Bait Theatre in 1992, and has gone on to successful runs in New York, Boston and Melbourne, Australia.
The setting is a Catholic school classroom, and with the audience as her class, Sister makes sure that, if you came in without knowing about the Trinity, the Holy Ghost, The Saints, Heaven, Hell or Purgatory, you'll know by the time you go home (or know the back side of her ruler).
Late Nite Catechism is set to run Feb. 19-April 19 at First Covenant Church, 400 East Pike on Capitol Hill. performances are Thurs.-Sat. evenings at 8 PM, Sundays at 7 PM, with matinees Sat. and Sun. at 2 PM.
