The series, starring Tony and Oscar winner Kevin Spacey (Lost in Yonkers) as a House of Representatives majority whip who plans to take over the Oval Office, is based on Michael Dobbs' novel and British miniseries of the same name, which depict political intrigue on Wall Street.
David Fincher produces the political drama and will direct the first two episodes of the series, which will debut next year. Netflix has ordered 26 episodes to play over two seasons.
Also in the cast are Michael Gill, Robin Wright, Corey Stoll (A View From the Bridge), Sakina Jaffrey, Kate Mara, Wass Stevens, Constance Zimmer, Mahershala Ali, Tony nominee Jayne Atkinson (Enchanted April, The Rainmaker) and Sandrine Holt. Arcelus will play newspaper editor Lucas Goodwin.
Arcelus has been seen on Broadway in Elf, Jersey Boys, Good Vibrations, Wicked and Rent. Visit his page at the Playbill Vault.
