Stratford Festival Theatre's production of Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller opens June 3 at the Avon Theatre in Stratford, ON.

Canadian actor Al Waxman plays the lead role of Willie Loman . This will be Waxman's Stratford debut. Martha Henry will play Linda Loman, Willie's wife, Linda.

Richard Monette, Artistic Director for the Stratford Festival, said, "Years ago, Al Waxman told me that he longed to play Willie Loman, I am happy that this year I could finally work Death of a Salesman into the playbill, and thus team Al with another of this country's most distinguished performers, Martha Henry. I am delighted that these two marvellous actors are going to be working with so celebrated director as Diana Leblanc. It's the sort of combination artistic directors dream of."

It will be the second major production of Death of a Salesman in Ontario this year. A commercial production of the drama, starring Judd Hirsch as Willy, is playing through March 22 at the Royal Alexandra Theatre in Toronto. The show will run until March 22, and stars Judd Hirsch as Willie Loman. For tickets, call: (800) 567-1600.
