Producer Stewart F. Lane says that in addition to being involved with plans for a fall production of Thoroughly Modern Millie, he and collaborator Ward Morehouse III have begun work on another play. It will be their second full-length play. Their first, If It Was Easy..., began previews at the Douglas Fairbanks Theatre on Feb. 15.
"It's called St. Nick," and portray the story of a retired actor living outside Savannah, Lane told Playbill On-Line. "It's about this guy who sets himself up in a town called Fancy Gap in order to run away from his past. But, his former lover, who is also an actress, comes to seek him out."
Lane has produced many Broadway shows and is co-owner of the Palace Theatre. Wardhouse is the former theatre columnist for the New York Post.
