Presented as part of Second Stage Uptown, Bachelorette opened July 26 at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre and was originally scheduled to conclude Aug. 7. A one-week extension through Aug. 14 was previously announced prior to the official opening. All performances up to the latest one-week extension have sold out. Previews began July 12.

Trip Cullman (Some Men, Swimming in the Shallows) directs the play that features Tony Award nominee Celia Keenan-Bolger (The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee), Carmen M. Herlihy (Buffalo Gal, columbinus), Tracee Chimo (Circle Mirror Transformation), Fran Kranz (Bright Room Called Day), Eddie Kaye Thomas ("American Pie") and Katherine Waterston (Reborning).

According to Second Stage, "On the eve of her wedding, Becky has arranged the perfect bachelorette celebration — but after two party crashers, one manipulative maid of honor, and a bathtub of booze, things don't go according to plan."

Designing the production are Andromache Chalfant (set design), Ben Stanton (lighting design), Emily Rebholz (costume design) and Jill DuBoff (sound design).

Headland earned a B.F.A. in drama from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. She studied directing at Playwrights Horizons Theater School, where she was awarded the Robert Moss Prize. She is the artist-in-residence at the IAMA Theatre Company in Los Angeles. Her playwriting credits include the "Seven Deadly Plays," which explores "ancient vices in an unfortunately modern generation." The series includes Cinephilia (lust), Bachelorette (gluttony), Assistance (greed), Surfer Girl (sloth) and Reverb (wrath). She is currently writing for the new FX series "Terriers," created by screenwriter Ted Griffin ("Ocean's 11") and produced by Shawn Ryan ("The Shield"). Tickets for Bachelorette at the McGinn/Cazale Theatre, located on Broadway (at 76th Street, 3rd floor) in Manhattan, can be purchased by calling (212) 246-4422. For more information, visit 2ST.com.
