Flanked by a sunset, Abby Mueller took the stage as part of Napa County's Broadway and Vine concert series September 20. The evening, which began before sunset at 6:30 PM with a pre-concert wine tasting, was held at Tre Posti.
Mueller shared the stage with Sharon Kenny, as well as 5 local students and the choir from Napa's Vintage High School; her set included selections from the Carole King songbook and "Heart of Stone" from Six. A three-course vintner's dinner followed the performance.
Though Mueller is known for originating the role of Jane Seymour in Broadway's Six, the Broadway alum also starred in Beautiful: The Carole King Musical and Kinky Boots. Meanwhile, Kenny's music has been featured on television, and her work has also been commissioned and developed by several Off-Broadway and regional theatres, including New York Theatre Workshop, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Williamstown Theatre Festival, among others.
Pairing Broadway performances with wine and culinary experiences at a vineyard, the series featured concerts with Ciara Renée and Lea Michele earlier this year. The organization was founded by Tony nominee Jacob Langfelder and launched its inaugural concert seres in 2021.
