The Broadway company of the Disney musical Aladdin welcomed Arielle Jacobs to the role of Jasmine February 20 at the New Amsterdam Theatre.

Jacobs originated the role in the 2016 Australian production and is the sister of original Broadway star Adam Jacobs, currently leading the North American tour in the title role. Her previous Broadway credits include Wicked and In the Heights.

Produced by Disney Theatrical Productions, Aladdin features music by Tony and eight-time Oscar winner Alan Menken, lyrics by two-time Oscar winner Howard Ashman, three-time Tony and three-time Oscar winner Tim Rice, and four-time Tony nominee Chad Beguelin, with a book by Beguelin. Tony Award winner Casey Nicholaw is the director and choreographer.
