Dear Evan Hansen celebrated two years on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre November 27. Following the Tuesday evening performance, the production welcomed representatives from the Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History for an onstage ceremony, donating title character Evan Hansen’s iconic cast and polo shirt to the museum.

The original Broadway production of Dear Evan Hansen officially opened at the Music Box Theatre December 4, 2016, with Ben Platt in the title role. The show won six 2017 Tony Awards, including Best Musical. 2018 National High School Musical Theatre Award winner Andrew Barth Feldman is set to take on the leading role January 30, 2019, succeeding Trensch, who will take his final bow January 27.
