News See Hamilton's Kings Groom Andrew Rannells for Broadway! Tony Award nominee Andrew Rannells received some finishing touches from fellow theatrical royalty as he prepared to assume the throne of the hit Broadway musical Hamilton.

The Book of Mormon and Hedwig star steps into the role of King George III for a limited Oct. 27-Nov. 29 engagement while the show's current King, Tony nominee Jonathan Groff, takes a pre-arranged one-month leave to appear in the HBO film "Looking."

Hamilton cast member Betsy Struxness snapped the following shot of Rannells in rehearsals alongside Groff and Brian d'Arcy James, who originated the role of King George III in the Off-Broadway premiere of Hamilton.
