In Transit was originally produced Off-Broadway in the fall of 2010 by Primary Stages at 59E59. Billed as a “new, modern musical, bringing to life a vivid tapestry of characters and music in the city that never sleeps…or stands still,” the latest production arrived at the Circle in the Square Theatre on November 10 as Broadway's first a cappella musical.
Justin Guarini, Erin Mackey and Telly Leung head the cast in a story that follows the intertwining lives of eleven New Yorkers trying to find success, love and happiness in a complex and complicated world.
Book, music, and lyrics are by Kristen Anderson-Lopez, James-Allen Ford, Russ Kaplan, and Sara Wordsworth. Kathleen Marshall directs and choreographs. Opening night is December 11.
