The Orchard Film and TV distribution has released the trailer for Miss Stevens, in which Tony nominee Lily Rabe stars as a teacher on a weekend trip to a drama competition with three of her students. Breakout theatre star Timothee Chalamet (Prodigal Son) stars alongside Rabe as one of her students.

Rabe was awarded the Best Actress award at SXSW for the role earlier this year. Miss Stevens is directed by Julia Hart, who also co-wrote the screenplay with her husband, Jordan Horowitz.

Here’s how Hart’s newest film is billed: “Exploring the fine line between being a grown up and being a kid, Miss Stevens is about students becoming teachers and teachers coming to realize that the messiness of youth never really goes away.”

The film will open theatrically in Los Angeles and New York September 16, and will be available on VOD September 20.
