The booking coincides with the release of her debut album, Fearless, whose title song was written by Hamilton composer Lin-Manuel Miranda. The album also features original songs by Tom Kitt (Next to Normal, If/Then), Bill Sherman (orchestrator of In the Heights), and Jennifer Nettles.

Gonzalez is best known for her portrayal of Nina Rosario in In the Heights, for which she received a Drama Desk Award. She has also been seen on Broadway in Aida, Dance of the Vampires, Lennon, and Wicked. On screen, she is known for her recent recurring role on ABC’s Quantico as well as on CBS’ Madam Secretary. Gonzalez won an Obie Award for her performance in the Off-Broadway musical Eli’s Comin’, based on the music and lyrics of Laura Nyro.
