As previously reported, Alexander Gemignani is set to take over the role of Alfred P. Doolittle in My Fair Lady on Broadway beginning April 30.

Based on the play Pygmalion by George Bernard Shaw—which, in turn, has its roots in the Greek myth of the same name—the show follows a flower seller of the London streets who wishes to work in a proper floral shop. When she overhears linguistics professor Henry Higgins wager that he can make any woman pass for a high society socialite, she seeks him out and offers to be his subject.
