Take a glimpse at the American premiere of Linda, a new play by The Ruins of Civilization playwright Penelope Skinner which opened Off-Broadway February 28. Olivier Award winner Janie Dee stars as Linda Wilde, an award-winning senior executive, as well as a busy wife and mother. Linda’s status is viciously disrupted by the aspirations of a younger, ambitious work colleague and a family life that is beginning to show cracks.
The Manhattan Theatre Club production began performances February 7 with direction by artistic director Lynne Meadow. Performances take place at MTC at New York City Center – Stage I, located at 131 West 55th Street, New York.
The cast of Linda also features Meghann Fahy (Next to Normal, Lost Girls ) as Stevie; Molly Griggs (Carnegie Mellon University) as Amy; Jennifer Ikeda (Vietgone, Top Girls) as Alice; Maurice Jones (The Cherry Orchard, Troilus and Cressida) as Luke; Donald Sage Mackay (stop.reset.at, Modern Family) as Neil; Molly Ranson (Fish in the Dark, Bad Jews) as Bridget; and John C. Vennema (The Freedom of The City, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt) as Dave.
